Buffalo and all of Western New York is a region that is rich in it's musical heritage and appreciation. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performing at Klienhan's Music Hall, the local acts that make it to big time regionally, nationally and even a few have made their mark internationally, The Goo Goo Dolls, Ani DeFranco and Billy Sheehan to name a few. But the meat and potatoes of the Western New York music scene are the hard working and dedicated local musicians. The bands that perform at local functions, at the local bars and in the local clubs. They always draw large numbers of fans to their performances.

We have tried to list the most popular musical genre and place the groups in the appropriate catagory which are listed on the left side column.
